We have a number of opportunities approaching for members to volunteer and give back to the club.

1: Sunday 3rd February - Our Home XC event and the finale of this years TVXC league - Marshals still required for a 9:30am start - requirements are arms for pointing and voices for cheering! if you can help and haven't yet let Gary know please email vicechair@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk.

We are renowned in the league for having amazing marshals and the BEST buffet so please if you are running or volunteering can you bring a contribution to the buffet - if you are not able to make the event but would like to contribute food please email secretary@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk and I will try and arrange to collect it from you on the 2nd

2: Sunday 10th March - The Vitality Big Half - we have been asked to provide a baggage team of 15 people including a team leader. Timings are leave from Bracknell Sports centre at 6:30am (transport will be provided) to start at 8:30am and then finishing around 2pm - again transport will be provided back to the sports centre.

If you would like to volunteer for this please email secretary@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk we need 1 team leader plus 14 further volunteers - spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis by email only.

3: Sunday 12th May 2019 - Bracknell Half Marathon. under new management this year by Everyone Active and in the absence of Mr Vaal, the event team are very keen to have the support of BFR for this years event in the form of marshals for the first and last miles plus a finish line team - if you are able to help out on the day please email bracknellhalf@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk we will provide further information on timings etc closer to the event but for now we'd like you to get the date in your diary if you are not running

We have also been asked to provide pacers this year - this will be organised in the coming months by the coaching team

Volunteering at the above events is qualifying criteria for the ballot for available club places for the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon.

Please note that for commercial events including The Big Half and Bracknell Half the club receives a donation which is used to subsidise club events
