Most races organised under England Athletics (EA) rules include an additional insurance premium payment if an entrant is not affiliated to an EA affiliated club. Members of Bracknell Forest Runners benefit from exemption of that premium payment. Therefore we strongly encourage members to wear club colours/kit during races.
Not only does wearing the BFR colours/kit allow you to spot other BFR at a distance but also helps build a good club spirit and acts as great advertising for prospective new members.
Vests, T-shirts, Buffs and Beanie Hats
Vests and short-sleeved t-shirts are available in women's and men’s fits, and can be purchased for £19 each. Contact the Committee if you are unsure about sizes. Note that some women prefer the men’s fit, and this is absolutely fine. Follow this link to the Scimitar Sports size guide, but be aware that the club does not stock every size on the size guide.
As an encouragement to new members, a free club vest or short-sleeved t-shirt is included in the joining fee.
For the cooler weather, BFR branded buffs (£10) and beanie hats (£5) are available for purchase.
Please contact the club kit administrator, kit@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk, with any questions.

BFR have teamed up with a third party company to produce BFR branded (Yep … they are green) ICE tags that can be attached to your trainers, bag … pretty much anywhere. In the unlikely event of something happening to you whilst running, wearing an ICE Tag will allow quick identification, information about any important medical conditions and an emergency contact number which could all be lifesaving.
To get your tags, the suppliers are hosting a BFR page where you can go, enter your details (Contact, useful medical details etc) and then place your order directly with the supplier. Each order costs £7.99 (inc P&P) for three tags. So one for the road shoes, one for trail and a third for … well whatever. Out hiking, why not attach it to a rucksack.
We'd really like to encourage as many club members as possible to sign up and get the tags. BFR are concerned about the safety of all club runners no matter where or when they are running and feel that these should be an essential part of all runners kit.
