5k Handicap Race - 22nd May
Want to be in Race 1? Please email your latest 5k time to handicap@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk

Bracknell Half Marathon
It would be fair to say BFR owned the day.

132 runners - A star finish line team, amazing marshals around the course, a brilliant pace team and stunning support around the course. Neil brought home the win for the club, Dave came in 3rd with Paul placing the age - Big shout out to Jenny for the Finish line logistics

Results are being added to the website (There's quite a few of them). Thanks to all that helped - We will be following up with a more detailed report on the day

Due to a printing 'mishap' we also have some hilariously small pace tops in child sizes (5-6,7-8). Let Mike know if you want one and we can arrange collection - socialmedia@bracknell-forest-runners.org.uk

A request - Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue - Nominate to win £1000

Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue were providers of the Defibrillator that saved Claire's life at Bracknell Half last year. They also supported Bracknell Lexicon Half today with medical and communications support.

Please nominate them for a charity donation by going here - Charity No.1046861, Charity Type: Rescue Service - Thanks

Trainers for Zambia Collection
So we all have a few pairs of trainers that we can't throw away - But would happily donate (Yes you do... You know that pair... Let go)

One of our members Anna Tait's neighbours runs a foundation in Zambia, supporting local schoolchildren with their education. They also collect items for the families of the children and would welcome donations of your old running shoes! Anna is happy to collect at track if anyone would like to donate :-) Mike is also helping collect (and personally donating one or two pairs)

A link to the foundation if anyone is interested https://mwangalamwendafoundation.org

Maximum of 6 people per pitch

We will be offering a coach to and from the event on Sunday also, with a BBQ for those that want it. Prices are £15 for the coach (there and back), and £5 per person for food.
